Best Home Made, Natural Eczema Remedies

Natural products will soothe the dry skin and rashes caused by eczema. Eczema usually worsens in the winter months when the weather is dry and devoid of moisturizer. Organic or homemade lotions are best to cure eczema naturally without any side effects.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is the best anti-inflammatory, moisturizer, as well as anti-bacterial natural product. A bottle of virgin or cold-pressed coconut oil can cure skin problems and cost-effectively. Coconut oil is also recommended for anti-aging therapy, for it contains natural fatty acids.

– Apply a layer of the gel on affected parts of your skin.
– You can also extract aloe vera gel directly from the plant and apply it on your skin.

Honey

Honey is another ingredient that is readily available at home. People have used organic honey for centuries to treat skin rashes, stings and bites, and other infections. Apple Cider Vinegar

How to Use It:

– Dilute apple cider vinegar with filtered water with a clean cotton or gauze.
– Cover the skin with a cotton cloth so that the solution penetrates the skin.
– Leave it for 3 hours before washing it off with warm water.

You can also add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar in your bath water and soak in it for 20 minutes before rinsing it off.

Do not forget to moisturize your body with coconut oil after the bath.

Lifestyle Changes to Treat Eczema Naturally

– Bath only with lukewarm water.
– Do not use chemical-induced soap. Go for organic ones, such as goat milk soaps.
– Avoid scrubbing.
– Add apple cider vinegar, or baking soda, or oatmeal in your bath regularly.
– Eat anti-inflammatory foods, such as fish, turmeric, cinnamon, colorful fruits and veggies, leafy greens, and lentils.
– Do not wear tight clothes.
– Wear only cotton outfits.
– Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant directly on the skin.
– Avoid sitting next to active heat sources, such as the fireplace, furnace, heater, etc.
– Use a humidifier during winter.
– Use alcohol and fragrance-free products and cosmetics.

Since there is no cure for eczema, you can try these home remedies to minimize the symptoms and control infection without relying on prescribed medications.
