While buying a new laptop, there are some important factors to consider, especially while doing so online. A good laptop goes a long way and choosing the right laptop is very important. While you don’t have to dive deep into the technicalities of a laptop, evaluating the basic specs will help you make your decision. Once you make the decision, you can go ahead and buy a laptop on EMI as well.

5 Important specs to consider when buying a laptop on EMI:

1. Size:

Finding the right-sized laptop, a size that works best for you is important. If you’re someone who travels a lot, a smaller laptop will work better. If you prefer large screens, a 15inch+ laptop will be ideal.

Laptops range from 11.6 inches to 17.3 inches in most cases, with the most popular choices being 13-15 inches.

A laptop weighing between 1-2 Kgs is lightweight and more popular as compared to laptops weighing more than 2kgs.

2. Screen and keyboard quality:

Since you’re probably spending most part of your day staring at a screen and typing stuff, screen and keyboard quality is paramount.

Choose a screen that is easy on the eyes. It should at least have a resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. If you can afford a 4K resolution, that’s great.

Apple’s retina display is unparalleled if you can afford to buy a MacBook. A good keyboard should be smooth on the fingers and you should be able to type without much effort. The backlight is an additional advantage.

3. CPU:

Always check the sticker on the laptop which will say either i3, i5 or i7. I5 is the most popular choice today. It’s a very powerful processor. If you want an ultra-powerful and ultra-fast machine, go for an i7 laptop. However, the latter is much more expensive. Avoid an i3 laptop as it is slow.

4. RAM and storage:

Most good laptops have ab 8GB RAM. A higher RAM allows you to perform multiple tasks at the same time. If you’re looking for a more powerful laptop, you can go for 16GB RAM.

For storage, consider buying a laptop with an SSD or solid-state drive. SSDs don’t make the laptop bulky, unlike a hard drive. Opt for a drive with at least 256GB and a secondary drive with 1TB storage.

5. Battery life and USB

To look at battery life, consider the battery rating in Watt-Hours or mAh. The higher these numbers are, the longer is the battery life.

Look for fast charging features as well. For USB features, make sure it supports USB 3.0 and has at least 2 USB ports. To step up, you can also go for USB Type 3, which transfers data very quickly.

These are the most important features to consider when buying a new laptop. Now that you have, the next step is to make the final purchase. Thankfully, today you can easily buy a laptop on EMI without worrying about spending large amounts of money in one go!

Today, with companies like ZestMoney offering no-cost EMI on laptops, even to those without a credit card, there’s no reason why any laptop is too expensive or out of reach.

But you’re probably wondering, “What is no-cost EMI?”. No cost EMI meaning as referred is being able to pay for what you want on EMI, without any extra charge or interest rate.

You can avail ZestMoney across platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart to buy a laptop of your choice on no-cost EMI. You can easily make your repayments over a duration of 3,6,9 or 12 months. So, buy your dream laptop on EMI now. Just buy now and pay later!
